Privacy Policy of the StoryTale App

1. General Information:

• This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for the processing and protection of personal data provided by Users in connection with their use of the StoryTale mobile application.
• The administrator of the personal data obtained through the application is eDialog Sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Łódź, ul. Łagiewnicka 121, 91-863, KRS 0000333352, NIP 725-200-19-65, REGON 100711117.

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing:

• Personal data is processed based on the consent expressed by the User and in cases where the law authorizes the Administrator to process personal data based on legal provisions or for the purpose of executing a contract concluded between the parties.

3. User Rights:

• Users have the right to:
  • Access their personal data.
  • Rectify their personal data.
  • Delete their personal data (right to be forgotten).
  • Restrict the processing of their personal data.
  • Transfer their personal data.
  • Object to the processing of their personal data.

• Personal data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected or in accordance with applicable law.

• Personal data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) only if an adequate level of data protection is ensured, in accordance with the provisions of the GDPR.

• The service collects information about users and their behavior through voluntary information entered in forms.
• The service collects information voluntarily provided by the user.
• Data provided in the form is processed for purposes resulting from the function of a specific form, e.g., to handle a contact information process.

9. Data Security:

• Personal data left in the service will not be sold or made available to third parties, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act.
• Access to data contained in the form is granted to the individual who placed it there. This person also has the right to modify and cease the processing of their data at any time.

10. Information on Device Location:

• Information on the device’s location is not stored but only compared with the content of the topographic points database.
• The device’s IMEI number is stored to prevent the game from being launched on multiple devices simultaneously.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy:

• We reserve the right to change the privacy policy of the service, which may be affected by the development of internet technology, possible changes in the law regarding personal data protection, and the development of our application. We will inform you of any changes in a visible and understandable manner.

12. Links to Websites:

• The application may contain links to websites. Such websites operate independently of our application and are not supervised in any way by our company. These sites may have their own privacy policies and regulations, which we recommend you read.

13. Data Needed for the Operation of the StoryTale App:

• StoryTale requires the following data to operate:
  • Nickname
  • Email address
  • Profile picture (optional)
  • Access to the mobile device’s location
  • Access to Bluetooth to find NFC, BLE devices in the vicinity for game-related challenges.

14. Data Processing in the StoryTale App:

• StoryTale processes the above data to implement field games and e-guide services via a mobile device.
• Nickname (in services connected via FACEBOOK, GOOGLE, or APPLE login, it may be FIRST NAME and LAST NAME) is used for:
  • User identification on the participant list, displaying their position in the ranking, and internal communication.
• Email address is used for:
  • Communication
  • Unique identification of the user during the application operation. Only one user can be assigned to each email address.
• Profile picture, downloaded from the linked login service or uploaded by the user, is used for:
  • Graphical presentation of the player on the leaderboard.
• Access to the location is used for:
  • Implementing the basic operation of the StoryTale application, i.e., according to the game or guide scenario, checking the user’s position using GPS, verifying its accuracy, and navigating to the destination.
• Access to Bluetooth, BLE, the mobile device’s camera, NFC is used for:
  • Implementing the game or guide scenario that requires checking the surroundings for the presence of devices specified in the game or guide scenario. The camera is used to solve a special type of puzzle in the form of AR.

15. Deleting Login Data:

• To delete login data associated with Facebook, please send an email to info@geotropiciel.pl containing the nickname, user’s email address, with the subject “Delete Facebook Data”.
